Growing the company, and changing lives along the way.
Melted Crayons is building a workforce development initiative to prepare underserved youth and adults for sustainable careers in technology, finance, and beyond. This is the plan we’re raising to launch — and how you can help us get there.
Watch the initiative — two minutes on where we’re headed and why.
More than a job-training program.
The initiative is designed to go beyond coding. It pairs hands-on technical training with the workplace skills that actually keep people employed and advancing — communication across teams, corporate culture, project delivery, and the professional resilience real jobs demand. The model combines technical training with mentorship, internship pipelines, and the real-world readiness employers need.
We’re planning a first-round raise of up to $500,000 to launch operations, and a $25 million impact campaign to scale mentorship and internships with cross-industry partners. Announced from Orange County, California.
Skills, money, and access.
Each division is designed to address a different barrier — because sustainable career outcomes require all three. All three are planned; the Real Estate Division is a later-phase goal that depends on funding.
Education
Hands-on technical training paired with workplace readiness — project management, professional communication, interview prep, and ongoing mentorship and internships.
Financial Literacy
Personal finance, credit, benefits & equity, investing basics, and wealth-building strategies — so technical growth is matched by financial stability and long-term security.
Real Estate
A future-phase aim: co-working spaces, training facilities, and affordable housing near innovation corridors — physical access to opportunity and community hubs for learning. Dependent on funding.
“We’re not setting out just to teach people to code — we want to help them build careers and futures. Technical skills matter, but communication, culture, and professional resilience are what help people stay, grow, and lead.”

Build with us.
We’re inviting partners from technology, finance, real estate, and education to co-create a scalable model for inclusive workforce development — supporting mentorship pipelines, co-developing training programs, and co-investing in community innovation hubs.
Talent Pipelines
Internships, apprenticeships, placement & mentorship across software, data, and IT.
Education & Curriculum
Co-branded courses, cert pathways, and live project sprints with your teams.
Financial & Real Estate
Co-working, training facilities, and community-hub investment near innovation corridors.
Community Impact
Measure what matters: placement, retention, salary growth, and advancement.
Hold Time Media is the intended funding engine.
Hold Time Media — our enterprise platform launching soon — is designed to help fund this initiative. Once the platform is live and generating revenue, a share of that revenue is earmarked to support the workforce programs above. It’s the model we’re building toward, not a loop that’s running yet.
Help us launch it.
We’re looking for founding partners in technology, finance, real estate, and education to turn this plan into programs on the ground.
